Another great thing about it - you don't need anything higher than BS degree, unless you want to teach in a university or do some fundamental research. You can search for job now, it is very hard to find if the employer don't have any idea what you can though, so certifications (i don't know what field you prefer) and AA degree should help a lot. 50-60K is ok for early BS degree..
